The disc version is just as convincing, even if the promise of being able to build the frame 900 grams light is not quite kept. On the other hand, it has the only quick-release thru-axle. The racing orientation of the bike with a sporty riding position and larger gear ratios is remarkable, whereas most other manufacturers tend to design their bikes more comfortably. This is not a disadvantage: the rider puts a lot of weight on the front wheel and good power on the pedals on the lively Focus. We liked the comfortable handlebars and the wheels, but we would only fit faster tyres. Here too: The new SRAM Rival groupset shifts crisply, brakes convincingly and makes the not too heavy bike a real price tip.
CONCLUSION Modern, sporty frame with thru axles; stretched riding position. Equipment without weaknesses, good value
