The bike is good-natured off-road, but for a sporty set-up it would need lighter wheels. The equipment is functionally good, but somewhat meagre compared to the price, which is also reflected in the weight. The mechanical disc brakes from Avid are proven classics, rightly known for their good braking performance and easy maintenance. However, the higher manual force compared to hydraulic brakes is noticeable. The bike will soon be available with hydraulic Shimano brakes for 100 euros more - perhaps a reason to wait before buying. When pedalling, it's easy to hit the wide chainstays with your heels.
What the testers say
Paul A solid, unspectacular bike. When pedalling, I kept brushing my heels against the chainstays.
Semyon Very stiff, very smooth. The Avid brakes are good, but hydraulic brakes feel better.
