Compared to last year's model, the frame is 150 grams lighter; what has remained is high riding stability, geometry and the shape, which is characterised by lowered chainstays and cleanly ground weld seams. The riding position is extremely sporty. The top tube measures 585 millimetres horizontally - actually too long for our testers. However, the next size down would have been far too small. Otherwise, the bike offers little cause for criticism. The 105 cranks have been replaced by a simpler Shimano model without this being noticeable when shifting gears. Although other bikes are lighter, this one feels light-footed when pedalling; the wheels are the lightest in the test. Good Conti tyres, although nominally 23 mm, are effectively almost 26 mm wide. The narrow saddle is comfortable, the handlebars could be a little thicker in the grip area.
