Basso Laguna 2014
Very stable and manoeuvrable. Comfortable riding position, but only moderately cushioned on the saddle. Many sizes

The stable, cleanly finished frame with monostay rear triangle and bulge in the seat tube for the rear wheel keeps you safely on track. You sit almost as relaxed as on a bike with special comfort geometry. Thanks to the short wheelbase and narrow fork caster, the bike is extremely manoeuvrable. The suspension comfort at the rear suffers somewhat from the stiff aluminium seatpost; with a light carbon seatpost, the set-up would be much more comfortable. The Athena groupset brakes and shifts well, the carbon crankset saves a few grams compared to the aluminium version. The classically curved handlebars appeal to riders who appreciate the large difference in height between the lower and upper handlebars. Inexpensive wheels from Mavic are a little meagre on a bike costing a good €3,000, but the Laguna offers the flair of a frame made in Italy.
