Storck's giant measures 63 centimetres - nominally two less than the Simplon. However, the long head tube and a reach of 414 millimetres make the carbon frame a true XXL model. The wheelbase has been extended compared to the normal frame sizes, with positive consequences for the riding behaviour. The steering behaviour is neutral and there is enough space for large feet. Storck has long been one of the manufacturers that propagate a proportional design. This means that large frames are disproportionately stiffer than smaller ones as their tubes grow in diameter, which makes sense as tall riders are often also heavy. The equipment with Shimano's ingenious "Di2" electronic shifting system appeals to tall technology fans. However, the frame is also available with mechanical shifting systems.
