Since 2007, the Fascenario 0.7 has always been the benchmark in the Storck range. Now the long-running favourite has found a worthy successor in the Aernario. In the sinfully expensive Platinum version (frameset with Stiletto 280 fork € 4,999) with specially optimised alignment of the carbon fibres in the frame and fork, the frameset outshines everything that TOUR has measured over the past 20 years. Top marks in all categories (with a 1.3 for weight as a "slip-up") give the frameset an unprecedented score of 1.1. But the bike is not only a high-flyer in terms of measurements; the combination of low weight, outstanding riding stability and exceptional damping also impresses in the riding test. However, the frameset only fulfils the aero promise in its name to a limited extent (eighth place in the wind tunnel evaluation). Neither the frame nor the fork have any real aero features - even if Storck argues with aerodynamically favourable tube cross-sections. In addition, the Aernario benefits less than other models in the test from really fast wheels à la Zipp 808.
