The "Super Prestige" is gradually maturing into a classic in the Hamburg-based company's programme. The stiff aluminium frame impresses with its sporty geometry and balanced performance. A new type of brake cable counterholder has been fitted to the fork head to prevent annoying fork vibrations when braking - with the hoped-for effect. Nevertheless, the brakes leave a lot to be desired. The combination of brake levers from the new "Ultegra" groupset and cantilever brakes proves to be unfortunate. The bike can only be stopped safely with very high hand forces - clearly too high from the brake lever position. Otherwise, the equipment offers no cause for criticism. We liked the high-quality Mavic wheels fitted with Schwalbe's new "Rocket Ron" tyres and the 46/36-tooth chainring gradation, which is suitable for racing.
