Ultra-stable, manoeuvrable, sporty riding position, good comfort in the saddle. Aerodynamically inconspicuous.

The fourth evolutionary stage of the Tarmac series is less bulky than its predecessors. This applies at least to the small and medium sizes, where the head tube diameter has been reduced slightly compared to its predecessor; however, the largest size retains the old diameter. The frame sets standards in terms of riding stability. 119 Nm/°/kg is the best value in the test, and the fork doesn't give anything away here either. The stiff bottom bracket (with lightweight S-Works cranks) and the sporty riding position leave no doubt that the Tarmac was primarily designed as a racing machine. However, good aerodynamics were not yet in the specification. In the wind tunnel, the frameset ranks in the bottom third of the field.
