The test winner (alongside Canyon) is fantastically equipped, has the best riding characteristics, is only available as a frame set and only in four sizes.

The Allez-E5 frame is only available as a frame set for 799 euros. The test bike built by the German Specialized distributor should therefore be seen as a kind of appetiser: Look, such beautiful bikes can be built with an aluminium frame. So it's a good thing that many parts in the US brand's accessories programme go well with the perfectly finished frame. The lightweight S-Works cranks, for example, or the black carbon wheels from Roval. The new Dura-Ace groupset impresses with outstanding shifting and braking performance. What used to be considered impossible with aluminium frames is now effortlessly achieved by the Allez: combining unwavering riding stability with noticeable suspension comfort on the saddle. At 6.7 kilos, the bike is also light and correspondingly responsive.
