2,240 euros | 7.7 kilos
If you want to invest €2,240 with Simplon, the Austrian manufacturer does not recommend one of its excellent carbon frames, but rather the tried and tested, solid aluminium "Phasic" frame. It may not shine with any fancy details, but it is a reliable companion through thick and thin. Thanks to its high riding stability, it is also a good recommendation for heavy riders. Built with high-quality components such as Shimano's "Ultegra" and "Ksyrium Elite" wheels from Mavic, the bike weighs in at a competitive 7.7 kilos. The "SLK" saddle from Selle Italia may not be everyone's cup of tea, as its unusual shape takes some getting used to. However, as Simplon customises each bike, this can easily be changed by choosing a different seat.
