With the second generation of the CR1 model - once the first production carbon frame under 1,000 grams - Scott is targeting new groups of buyers. At just under 1,000 grams, the frame is still light, but at the same time the riding position has been softened and the suspension damping improved. The target group is now riders for whom the Addict and Foil models are too race-like. Nevertheless, the bike still looks sporty and dynamic. Thanks to the weight of just 6.6 kilos, it moves forwards well, and in direct comparison with the lightweight icon Addict, the riding impression is less harsh. The stiffness values could be higher for heavier riders, but are sufficient for most. The matt black paintwork, which harmonises well with the two-tone Dura-Ace groupset, is not without its charm. Like all the equipment, this guarantees the best function and long-lasting riding pleasure.
