Scott's cult frame "Addict" as a complete bike for 2,500 euros? Not quite. The frame of the test bike comes from the same production mould as the still much admired lightweight wonder from the same manufacturer. However, because it is made from simpler carbon fibres, it is almost 200 grams heavier than the Addict SL. This still makes it very light, and the technical values are also at a high level. The bike is equipped with the rarely seen Rival groupset from SRAM, which harmonises very well with the frame thanks to the black anodised aluminium parts. The bike also offers little cause for complaint in terms of functionality. The riding experience is first class, the Scott saddle is remarkably comfortable and the manoeuvrable steering behaviour is pure joy. The inaudible running noise of the SRAM chain is striking.

PLUS: lightweight frame set; stable ride

MINUSLoud chain

Weighted weights; **Test frame size greased; ***Projected dimension from centre of bottom bracket to top edge of head tube; ****Saddle to head tube rise at 75 cm seat height (centre of saddle frame - top edge of headset cap)
