Under seven kilos for less than 3,000 euros? Even mail-order company Rose has to pull out all the stops. The Xeon RS-4000 is probably the only bike at this price that rolls onto the starting line with a complete new eleven-speed Dura-Ace, which currently sets the standard for mechanical drivetrains. Ksyrium Elite wheels from Mavic fulfil the highest demands, as do the carbon components from Ritchey, including a handlebar that sits remarkably well in the hands. The frame, protected by robust anodising with clean weld seams and varying tube profiles, has a very modern look. Pencil-thin seat stays and the well-sprung WCS seatpost, which has been tuned with a special clamp attachment for Monolink saddles, guarantee contemporary seating comfort. Even very heavy riders are not fazed by the stable chassis.
