With the new Xeon, mail-order company Rose has introduced a more modern design language: with a slightly sloping top tube and extremely slim seat stays, the frame is a clear departure from the classic shape of its predecessors. The second-lowest overall weight in the test (together with the Storck bike) and the attractive price are strong arguments in favour of the bike, although the mail-order advantage has less of an impact on the calculation than usual. The Di2 battery was placed under the chainstay, the cable disappears into the frame at the cable stop - a practical solution because the frame is suitable for all shifting systems. With a moderately stretched riding position, the bike is aimed at sporty, ambitious riders who enjoy the smooth ride and good comfort on the saddle typical of Rose bikes. Top tyres from Conti contribute to the convincing riding impression.
