Aero avant-gardist with exciting integration solutions. Still good in the wind tunnel, relatively heavy and not very comfortable.

André Greipel's service bike stands out from other aero models thanks to its spectacular details. Longitudinal openings in the seat stays and fork blades are designed to channel the airflow past the wheels. At the same time, Ridley uses this design to make the brake arms an integral part of the fork and frame. There are no joints separating the components. Functionally, this is a great solution, although the combination with fashionably wide rims is problematic. Zipp's 404 wheels, for example, only fit if the pads are ground down a few millimetres. This shows that the aerodynamically still good design is already several years old. Handicaps that a sprinter like Greipel can live with are the low suspension comfort of the integrated seat post and the relatively high weight.
