Radon is testing the newly developed "Spire" carbon frame for the first time. Formally, the frame, which weighs 1,167 grams in size 58, looks much more independent than its predecessor. Multiple tube cross-sections, slim rear stays and the tapered steerer tube sharpen the profile, while the brake cable in the top tube creates a clean look. The calculation behind these measures is clear: Radon wants to move away from the image of a price breaker and become a recognised brand. However, the price still has to be right. That's why the frame is forgiven for not having any outstanding strengths. Because you will also look in vain for weaknesses, and consequently, in combination with the typically high-quality equipment, the result is an attractive, lightweight bike with good riding stability and all-round convincing handling.
