Radon's candidate for the 1,000 euro league presents itself with a no-frills, classically beautiful aluminium frame, which is also neatly finished. The discreet black and silver design is broken up by the self-confident red logo on the head tube; the only thing that could be improved is the fork, which is very heavy at almost 700 grams. The "RPS 9.0 Compact" sets the standard in terms of equipment in this test: an "Ultegra SL" groupset and high-quality components from Syntace can otherwise only be found in higher price categories, even in our "RPS 9.0 Compact". 2,500 euro test In April, the bike would have been competitive. The downside is Schwalbe's simple "Durano" clincher tyres. The saddle proved to be surprisingly comfortable.
Conclusion: Inconspicuous at first glance, but thanks to the exquisite equipment together with Focus test winner.
