One is lighter than the UCI allows: New models of the all-rounder Radon Spire

Radon is launching a new version of the Spire; the manufacturer is positioning the model as a racer for any terrain. The all-rounder based on a modern carbon frame is offered by the Bonn-based manufacturer and mail order company in three equipment lines.
Three new models at attractive prices
The Radon Spire 8.0 marks the entry into the model range and costs €2,799. Even at this comparatively favourable price, the bike is equipped to a high standard. In addition to Shimano's 105 Di2 component group, DT Swiss E1800 Spline wheels are on board; the 28 millimetre wide Conti Grand Prix 5000 TT tyres stand for smooth running, grip and puncture protection at a high level. Radon specifies a weight of 8.45 kilograms for the Spire 8.0, which is available in five sizes.
The Spire 9.0 rolls on Newmen Advanced A.50 wheels and is equipped with Shimano's Ultegra Di2; Continental tyres are also fitted here, and the Gran Prix 5000 S can also be ridden tubeless. According to the manufacturer, the middle model in the Radon range weighs 7.5 kilograms and is available for 3,599 euros.
Top version of the Radon Spire weighs only 6.6 kilos
The top model of the platform, the Spire 10.0, offers Shimano's top Dura-Ace Di2 groupset at a comparatively low price of € 5999; together with the lightweight Newmen Streem Vonoa wheels and other emphatically light components, the bike even undercuts the UCI minimum weight of just 6.6 kilograms according to the manufacturer.
