If the new Canyon Endurace Compared to the old model, you have to look closely to tell the two popular marathon racing bikes apart. After all, the Koblenz-based mail order company has left the geometry unchanged in its new development of the carbon racer and thus continues to consistently focus on a relaxed riding position.
The most striking new feature is the greater tyre clearance, with the frame and fork now allowing space for tyres up to 35 millimetres wide for the first time. As standard, Canyon installs 30-millimetre-wide tyres at the front and 32-millimetre-wide tyres at the rear - with two exceptions: The Endurace CF 7 rolls exclusively on 30-millimetre tyres, while the Endurace CF 7 Allroad makes full use of the maximum tyre clearance.
The four carbon models start at € 1,999. The Endurace CF 7 is then equipped with Shimano 105 and Fulcrum wheels. The two top versions - the Endurace CF 7 eTap and Endurace CF 7 Allroad - come with SRAM Rival eTap and DT Swiss wheels for € 2,999. With mechanical Ultegra and Fulcrum wheels, the Endurace CF 8 costs € 2,299 and at 8.3 kilos, it is also the lightest model in the new line-up. Canyon offers the aluminium models with rim and disc brakes at prices between €1,099 and €1,699.
In addition to five colour variants, Canyon offers its marathon classic in eight frame sizes (3XS to 2 XL). As before, the two smallest sizes roll on 27.5-inch wheels. The aluminium models will continue to be available with rim brakes.
The Koblenz-based company is continuing the higher-end Endurace models and has also given them a small update. The top-of-the-range CF SLX 9 Di2 (€7,799) is equipped with the new Shimano Dura-Ace (12-speed), while the equally new Ultegra (12-speed) is used on the CF SL 8 Di2 (€3,999) and CF SL 8 Aero (€4,799).
