The cheapest bike in the test is not only respectable in terms of price. Müsing would have achieved an even better result with higher quality components - which would have been possible within the price range of up to € 1,700. But even so, apart from the comparatively high weight, there are only a few points of criticism. The neatly finished aluminium frame with press-fit bottom bracket is well protected against the rigours of off-road use with its black anodised surface.
The Tektro V-brakes prove to be a good choice, although they are somewhat difficult to modulate and their braking power kicks in quite abruptly. However, the extreme brake pad wear in the wet is annoying. There was no functional difference between the Shimano "105" gears and the more expensive "Ultegra" gears. The only thing that is not up to date is the simple seat post with screw-in clamp.
