The orange-coloured paint makes the "Strada 3000" stand out from the competition. It adorns a simple aluminium frame with a Monostay rear triangle and decent stiffness values, which the Austrian manufacturer has avoided experimenting with. Shimano's "Ultegra" groupset is joined by reliable, albeit somewhat heavy, components from Ritchey's affordable "Comp" series. The DT Swiss wheelset, whose type designation "1900" also indicates the weight, shows that a few grams more or less were not important in the composition. The testers noticed that the rim joint on the front wheel rubbed when braking. It is pleasing to note that KTM has significantly improved the warranty scheme. The frame now comes with a five-year warranty - although the carbon fork is excluded.
