The basis for the Ultegra Di2 racer from the traditional Dutch brand is the tried and tested Kimera carbon frame, albeit in a version that differs from the top model in the series due to its more favourable fibres and correspondingly slightly higher weight. The absence of cable stops for mechanical shifting is consistent and emphasises the dynamic frame shape. It would have been even nicer if Koga had come up with its own solution for attaching the battery instead of resorting to the somewhat improvised retrofit solution for the down tube from Shimano. The Ultegra wheels, which are rarely fitted by original equipment manufacturers and are mechanically and visually top class, make the bike an attractive proposition. As is typical for Koga, the riding position is very sporty and the steering behaviour is balanced.
