Frame and fork made of precious titanium, golden anodised components, white tubular tyres - Kocmo's distinctive titanium crosser seems to be built more for the gallery than for riding through the terrain. What a mistake: the lightweight bike is a sports bike through and through. Super-light carbon wheels from Tune enable phenomenal acceleration and outstanding agility. The expensive adhesive tyres from Dugast with diamond tread are in a class of their own, offering plenty of grip and fantastic suspension comfort when ridden at low pressure. There are also mechanical disc brakes from Avid with consistently predictable braking performance. The only disadvantage of the braking system: if the discs are wet, you will hear an unpleasant squeaking noise. With so many plus points - such as the high value retention of the titanium frame - even the high price is put into perspective.
