Innovations 2019: Merida Time-Warp TT - Merida Tima-Warp TT: New aero road bike

The development time for Merida's new aero projectile was tight: according to the engineers, they only had twelve months to put the time trial weapon for Vicenzo Nibali on its wheels. Nevertheless, aerodynamic progress was made - 9 watts less at 50 km/h - thanks to completely concealed cables and a new cockpit. The weight saving of 400 grams is also considerable. However, availability is also likely to be tight: Initially, the professionals of the Bahrain Merida team will be supplied, while paying customers will have to wait until summer 2019 and cope with a limited number of units. A triathlon version with a more comfortable riding position is planned for 2020.
