On the way to the automated production of carbon products, Lightweight is presenting the first product of this endeavour. The new Wegweiser wheelset is a hybrid of automation and manual labour, so to speak. What is striking about the 36 millimetre high and 24 millimetre wide rim is the new spoke connection and the pentagonal hub body, which is already familiar from the disc version of the Meilenstein model. The wheelset, which is only available for disc brakes, is said to weigh less than 1,500 grams; it is already available and costs around 4,000 euros.
Lightweight had to develop a new seatpost for the new Urgestalt frame anyway, and it is also available separately from the German carbon specialist. The post comes with a diameter of 27.2 millimetres and the bend is intended to provide additional suspension comfort. 350 millimetres long, it should weigh 180 grams and cost 290 euros.
