Other new features include the seat post with a drop-shaped cross-section and the option of fitting 28 millimetre wide tyres. The R5 and R3 are available for both rim brakes and disc brakes. For the latter, Cervélo uses a variant of the RAT thru-axle system from its sister brand Focus, which enables particularly quick wheel changes. The R5 and R3 are each available in six sizes and in various configurations from Shimano and SRAM. The R5 with mechanical Dura-Ace and Ksyrium Elite wheels from Mavic costs 6,500 euros, the R3 with identical equipment 5,000 euros.
