The Ubrix carrier is only intended for light loads.
Because graduate engineer Christian Nitschke from Berlin usually rides his racing bike to work, he came up with the Urbix carrier to carry his laptop, books or documents. He now manufactures the carrier in small series in his workshop.

The 320 gram bracket consists of two stainless steel tubes connected by joints and two retaining devices for attachment to the seat stay and quick release. Ortlieb panniers or other brands with a similar clip system can be attached to this carrier. The Urbix is particularly suitable for steel or aluminium frames with round seat stays and smooth dropouts. Mounting on carbon frames with 3D dropouts and non-circular seat stays causes problems, as the pressure-sensitive carbon can be destroyed by the clamping forces of the retaining devices. Due to the two-point fixation, the load should not exceed five kilograms - otherwise the carrier starts to swing too much when riding fast and changing direction quickly and can rub against the tyre.

PLUS Lightweight; flexible for bikes with luggage carrier eyelet
MINUS low payload; tendency to flutter; lower attachment does not fit all dropouts

Price 70 Euro
