Haibike Challenge SL 2014
Attractive carbon frame with a tendency towards comfort geometry. Gear ratio suitable for mountain riding.

Like Ghost and Lapierre, Haibike, the sports brand of Winora-Staiger from Schweinfurt, is part of the Dutch Accel Group. The carbon frame of the Challenge SL is identical to the models of its sister brands, with the exception of the paintwork. Visually, the bike is a real eye-catcher, the decor of the components is skilfully matched to the frame. Technically, there is nothing to criticise. The Shimano brakes work well thanks to high-quality pads. The 105 rear derailleur with a long cage would not be absolutely necessary for the selected gear ratio with a 30 sprocket, but it works without any problems. The comfort of the bike could be significantly improved if a better-sprung carbon seatpost had been fitted instead of the simple aluminium seatpost. The top link feels uncomfortably thin and hard.
