It no longer comes as a surprise when Haibike takes top places in TOUR tests. With its current carbon frames, the Schweinfurt-based brand has formally independent platforms with modern, competitive technology (internal cables, press-fit bottom bracket, tapered steerer tube). This is also the case with the Affair SL, which not only impressed in the laboratory, but also on the road. The bike stays on track even at high speeds, is still relatively light at 7.2 kilos and is correspondingly lively. The equipment with a complete Ultegra groupset, Ultremo ZX tyres from Schwalbe and XLC own-brand components is high quality, and the rarely used Fulcrum wheels with adjustable hubs deserve special praise. The colour scheme with various shades of red is somewhat extravagant.
