The carbon frame of the TCR Composite has been in the programme for a while, but because Giant is one of the pioneers of technical trends such as press-fit bottom brackets or tapered steerer tubes, it still looks fresh. Details such as the aerodynamic seatpost are usually only found on more expensive bikes. However, the expense of the frame obviously forces the manufacturer to economise on the equipment. The Ultegra drivetrain is combined with Shimano cranks and brakes without a groupset, while the wheels and tyres bear the manufacturer's own label. None of this is a problem, but the competition sometimes offers more. The bike scores points with pleasant damping, directional stability and a moderately sporty riding position.
