Comfort or aero bike? The Defy leaves the observer a little unclear at first, but the geometry data shows what's what. The riding position is pleasantly relaxed. Thanks to the long wheelbase, the bike runs well straight ahead, the steering behaviour is neutral and the aero seatpost offers much better suspension than its profile would suggest. The mechanical Ultegra is complemented by components predominantly labelled by Giant, which is hardly a problem if the parts are well made, as is the case here. This applies in particular to the wheels with hub technology from DT Swiss, but also to the 25-millimetre tyres with good grip and the aluminium handlebars that are pleasant to hold. In addition, the Aliante saddle once again lives up to its reputation as one of the most comfortable seats for road bikes.
