The carbon frame is technically identical to that of the cheaper Race Lector 4000 model (TOUR-Test 3/14 ->) - and those of the comfort racers from Koga, Haibike and Lapierre, which, like Ghost, are part of the Dutch Accell Group. The frameset is comfortable and stiff, but comparatively heavy. The geometry lies exactly on the border between classic and comfort geometry. The Force drivetrain from SRAM works precisely and crisply, and the rear derailleur with long cage also allows a mountain cassette to be fitted. The narrow saddle is comfortable, as long as the width fits your bum. The flattened grip of the carbon handlebars is at an angle to the ground that is not entirely clear, which leads to punctual stress on the hands. The top-of-the-range Schwalbe tyres roll easily, but wider tyres would have fitted better into the comfort concept.
