The Race Lector is one of the most affordable carbon models that TOUR has ever tested. The bike is based on the elegant, technically good carbon frame that Haibike and Lapierre also use. It allows a relatively relaxed riding position and impresses with high riding stability and good suspension comfort. The bike offers no other highlights. The Tiagra brakes lack braking power due to simple pads, especially when operated from the top handlebar position. Heavy, single-suspension Shimano wheels make the bike feel a little sluggish when pedalling. The Tiagra 2x10 drivetrain, upgraded with a 105 rear derailleur,
is visually a little outdated, but shifts as precisely and smoothly as you would expect from Shimano. The smallest gear with 34 to 30 teeth is perfect for steep hills.
