Because the choice of models was small for the given budget and there was still plenty of room for improvement on the € 1,149 Ghost, the Bike24 consultant quickly suggested a top-of-the-range wheelset from Shimano (WH-RS 80 instead of WH-R 500) as an upgrade. This was good advice, as it reduces the overall weight of the bike by almost 500 grams and has a noticeably positive effect on the handling. With Shimano's Ultegra drivetrain, the rest of the equipment is on a par with the class, although the groupless brakes and cranks are a little less impressive, but function acceptably. The aluminium frame is one of the heavier and sturdier models; the bike's comparatively good fork comfort is remarkable. Delivery by DHL, well pre-assembled and perfectly packaged, even the gears and brakes were set up ready to ride. Two water bottles were included as a gift.
