At nine kilos, the Fuji is one of the heavier bikes in the test, which is also due to the high weight of the frameset. However, it is not a bad choice for heavy riders, as it is extremely stiff, well-made and equipped with a press-fit bottom bracket. Thanks to the short wheelbase, the bike is agile to ride. The "105" crankset impresses with better shifting behaviour than alternative products. The Oval-labelled brakes come from Tektro, their function is fine and the testers found the Oval saddle comfortable. However, the purpose of the screws on the stem, which are accessible from the rear, is not clear. A big minus: the test bike's inexpensive A-Class wheels were not only noticeably rough, but also exhibited significant side impacts at the front and rear. We would also replace the hard-rolling clincher tyres.
