Fuji is neck and neck with Specialized in the testers' favour. What speaks in favour of the Altamira: It costs a whopping 2,000 euros less than the S-Works Crux (even though it only comes with one set of wheels).

At this price, Fuji has put together a package that could be used for an immediate start in the Cross World Cup. Brakes, gears, wheels, tubular tyres - everything is top of the range and, above all, very light, which counts twice as much off-road. The Altamira weaves nimbly over twisty courses, it follows acceleration spontaneously, small obstacles can be easily jumped over with the lightweight bike. Grifo tubular tyres offer comfort and grip that folding tyres can't even come close to. The stiff carbon frame guarantees directional stability and the fork noticeably absorbs a lot of shocks.
