The hydraulic brakes from SRAM were also consistently praised, although it was noticeable that after several test laps they became increasingly snappier and somewhat more difficult to modulate. The fact that Focus already offers such high-quality braking technology at this price nevertheless deserves recognition. The brake mount on the rear triangle is elegantly designed, while the steering geometry is somewhat unusual. With the slack steering angle, the bike tends to tip slightly when steering. This sounds more critical than it is, but it still takes some getting used to. The Rival front derailleur from SRAM requires a lot of manual force when changing from the small to the large leaf.
