The Focus Izalco has an extremely stable, rather heavy frame for athletic riders who like to sit in a racing position. The equipment is solid.

Not so long ago, the pros of the Milram and Katjuscha teams were still riding with this frame. The channels for the gear cables integrated into the tube walls and visible from the outside with service-friendly continuous liners are striking. Useful details from racing practice: the mudguard against chain jamming behind the bottom bracket and the chain catcher attached to the front derailleur. Brakes and gears from SRAM's lightweight Red groupset are combined with the technically equivalent BB30 compact crankset from the Force groupset. Proven, stiff Cosmic Elite wheels from Mavic combine good aerodynamics and high suitability for everyday use, but push the weight up a little. The bike impresses with extremely smooth running and precise steering. Comparatively wide tyres effectively compensate for the average comfort values.
