The carbon frame of the F6 is technically almost top class. However, the heavy fork increases the weight of the set. SRAM's Apex groupset is an interesting alternative to the Shimano 105. Although the 105 is of higher quality, the Apex is 170 grams lighter and offers a feature that is only available from SR AM: The combination of mountain bike cassette and long-cage rear derailleur offers a huge range of gear ratios that not even triple drivetrains can keep up with. The weak point of the bike is the cheap, rough turning hubs. As far as the tyres are concerned, make sure that good Conti tyres are fitted. Some of the Felt models rolled onto the market in 2011 on cheap Vittoria tyres.
