The relatively affordable F3X has a lightweight, stable carbon frame and is exclusively equipped.

Cable-activated hydraulic disc brakes from TRP are a good compromise between mechanical and fully hydraulic stoppers. The tubeless tyres are also unusual - a novelty in cross. Unfortunately, the knobby tyres lose air at every obstacle at the typical cross air pressure of three bar. We therefore fitted inner tubes for the test rides. Apart from this faux pas, the testers praised the agile steering behaviour, easily modulated brakes, Ultegra gears and the shape of the brake levers. The rather stretched riding position appeals to sporty riders. The narrow rear triangle accommodates tyres with a maximum width of 35 millimetres.
