Racing bikes with the type designation Pro SL were already available from Rose when the manufacturer from Bocholt was still shipping its bikes under the Red Bull brand. The main feature: the uncompromisingly sporty orientation. A race-orientated riding position, the lively steering geometry and a favourable price made the Pro SL a tip for amateur racers.
That the new Pro SL racing around a track at high speed is rather unlikely. For some time now, Rose has been streamlining its programme and structuring it more clearly. Aero and cross racing bikes as well as time trial bikes have recently been cancelled. Other models have been repositioned - including the Pro SL: it now presents itself as an ideal marathon racer with a distinctly comfortable riding position. This fills a gap in the Rose range: the Bocholt-based company had not previously offered an aluminium model so consistently geared towards the needs of occasional and touring cyclists.
