Get on and have fun: The "X-Race Pro" convinced the testers as an agile, lively fun machine. The attractive and durable painted rigid aluminium frame enables a central riding position and therefore optimum control of the bike. The unusual tyre combination contributed to the safe riding experience, even at extreme lean angles. Schwalbe's supple, grippy "Rocket Ron" tyres at the front and the slightly harder, easy-rolling "Racing Ralph" tyres from the same manufacturer at the rear - a mix that can cope with almost any surface.
The equipment is mostly high quality and harmonised with the frame design. When it was dry, the Avid cantilever brakes decelerated passably well, but in the wet the braking distance was alarmingly long. The extreme brake wear during the wet braking tests was also unsightly and could only be removed from the white paint with difficulty.
