The Attempt for 899 euros is a real bargain - although the bike I bought is a 2011 model and was therefore reduced by 250 euros.

THE WHEEL

The rather heavy, extremely stiff aluminium frame with internally routed brake and gear cables is painted for durability. To improve the comfort of the saddle, we recommend replacing the seat post with a carbon model. Otherwise, the equipment with Shimano 105 gears and Shimano components without groupset integration is flawless. The highlight is the Ultremo ZX tyres, which also look good on high-end models.

CONSULTING/SERVICE

The dealer was confident during the consultation. He answered questions concisely but accurately, without making things unnecessarily complicated. The seat height was determined the old-fashioned way: The knee must be pushed through when the heel is on the pedal. As long as shoes and pedals are not fixed, this is perfectly fine. As for the high handlebar position, we were advised to try it out first and then lower it later. That's okay too. We had to acknowledge receipt of the operating instructions - exemplary!
