Conway RS 500
Very heavy bike, cheapest model in the test; the equipment is appropriate for the price.

The "RS 500" is the cheapest and heaviest bike in the test. The exorbitantly stiff aluminium frame is neatly finished, but a closer look at the decor reveals a few minor inaccuracies. Once you get going, the bike rolls excellently and is fun to ride despite its high weight. For 799 euros, you can't complain about a complete "Tiagra" equipment, manually spoked 32-spoke wheels with Tiagra hubs are a robust alternative to the simple system wheels common in this price range. The saddle proved to be extremely hard and uncomfortable. One drawback is the limited choice of frame sizes.

ConclusionVery heavy bike, cheapest model in the test; the equipment is appropriate for the price.

Weighed weights, complete bike without pedals; **Test frame size greased; ***Projected dimension from centre of bottom bracket to top edge of head tube; ****Saddle to head tube rise at 75 cm seat height (centre of saddle frame - top edge of headset cap)
