Streamlined: The aero frame of the Reacto 7000 was already convincing in the wind tunnel.
The long top tube forces the Reacto rider into a stretched position. The aerodynamics have already earned praise in the wind tunnel.

The aerodynamic shape, which was already found to be good in the wind tunnel (see TOUR 2/14 and 2/15), emphasises the sporty appearance. Surprisingly, considering the weight of the frame, the riding stability is just below average. The value is not critical, but in the test comparison the bike ranks at the rear end. One recognisable feature is the cleverly designed aero seat post with a cut-out at the rear for more vertical flex. A small proportion of vibration-damping flax fibres in the frame are intended to enhance this effect. This cannot be clearly filtered out; in the saddle, the Reacto is one of the harder models without being uncomfortable. One individual detail is the effective direct mount brakes, the rear one of which is located behind the bottom bracket.

CONCLUSION Fast-paced look, many individual details, good aerodynamics. Riding stability just below average

Direct mount brakes require special threads on the fork or frame. It is difficult to determine whether they offer an aerodynamic advantage. In any case, they impress with their good function.Photo: Markus Greber Direct mount brakes require special threads on the fork or frame.
