The fork is higher than usual, but the head tube has been shortened at the bottom. As a result, the frame appears less tall at the front than comparable models, despite the handlebars being positioned high up. The smart parallelogram seatpost is responsible for the suspension comfort at the rear, which effectively irons out bumps. Because the seat post offers hardly any offset to the rear, the saddle and handlebars are close together - perhaps too close for some tastes. However, the seatpost is also available with more offset. The elegant Dura-Ace currently sets the standard for mechanical groupsets. Wide DT Swiss rims with moderately finished rim joints harmonise well with the 25 millimetre wide top tyres.
CONCLUSION Outstanding equipment, light, stable, well damped. Upright, short riding position
