As a professional cyclist, Mario Cipollini always played the eccentric. The bikes to which the ex-sprinter lends his name follow this credo. Like other models from the brand, the "Bond" stands out with its avant-garde design: Curved tubes with flaring edges, an aero seat tube and the unique connection of the chainstays around the massive BB386 Evo bottom bracket turn the frame into a sculpture. The stiffness is average, but unobjectionable; the weight of the frame-fork set is rather heavy for a carbon frame. This does not prevent the bike from being a lot of fun to ride. Agile steering behaviour and the stretched position betray the professional sports genes. The equipment is beyond reproach and the EPS integration is exemplary. However, the bike will struggle with the price of almost 8,000 euros.
