Expectations for the S3 were high, after all Cervélo is considered a pioneer of the aero trend. The good result in the wind tunnel, especially with oblique wind flow, confirms the Canadians' concept of showing the wind the long nose from the front with slim tubes and a narrow silhouette. At 77 Nm per degree in the steering head, the riding stability is in a range that normal-weight, experienced riders can cope with. The racing-style riding position shows that the S3 is aimed at this clientele. The test bike is still the 2010 version, as the 2011 model was not yet available. According to Cervélo, the frame remains technically unchanged. During the ride test, it was noticeable that the Zipp wheels - also the 2010 version - were clearly out of balance. The shifting behaviour of the asymmetrical Rotor chainrings was impeccable.
