With curves in the top tube and down tube and a clear constriction in the head tube, the Hyperdrive frame looks almost extravagant and clearly sets itself apart from its predecessor of the same name. What has remained is what has always characterised models in the series. If we had to recommend a bike to a 120-kilo rider, this would be the first choice. However, the extreme riding stability goes hand in hand with the highest weight in the test field - the frameset is almost 700 grams heavier than that of Canyon or Cannondale. In the ride test, the bike impressed with its stoic straight-line stability. Surprisingly, given the stiffness values, the bike does have a noticeable bounce at the rear. The equipment is a solid mix of Ultegra groupset, Aksium wheels from Mavic and add-on parts from the Centurion distributor MCG range.
