Even in its most affordable version, the Ultimate SLX leaves a lasting impression. The super-light, extremely stable frame offers suspension damping like few other models at the moment - a feature that is particularly noticeable in direct comparison with other models. Canyon's carbon seatpost makes an important contribution to this. The dark grey finish of the Ultegra groupset perfectly matches the cool techno look of the frame. The same applies to Mavic's wheels with dark grey, abrasion-resistant anodisation. Thanks to their low weight, they make the bike look light-footed and lively. The piercing squeal of the special brake pads on the brake track deserves criticism. However, depending on how often you brake, this will disappear after a few hundred kilometres.
